Our listener, Ophelia san said she had seen a Hiragana き with 3 strokes. Good point! Yes, there are 2 ways to write き. One is with 4 strokes like I wrote in Plan #7. The other one is with 3 strokes which has no gap between 3rd and 4th stroke. I made a quick lesson for how to write き with 3 strokes.
Normally, textbooks teach you to write き with 4 strokes, but I think it is up to people’s preferences. I personally write き with 4 strokes, but I realized that I wrote き with 3 strokes when I was in a hurry. (^-^) Make sense, doesn’t it?
So, try practicing both ways and decide which one you like better.
Hope you liked this Bonus Lesson! Ophelia san, thank you very much for pointing that out! ありがとうございました！
