I know there are so many people who are interested in learning Japanese, but are dreading to learn Hiragana and Katakana.
You know some words and phrases by watching Anime or J-drama, but you do not know how to read or write.

There are a lot of materials out there to learn Hiragana and Katakana, but you are pretty much on your own.

My program is different – I will be with you and guide you all the way!

In this program, you will learn 92 Basic Hiragana and Katakana (46 Hiragana and 46 Katakana) in 10 weeks.

That is 10 characters (5 Hiragana and 5 Katakana) each week.

(The 8th and the 10th week, 3 Hiragana and 3 Katakana)

★You will receive:

Lesson notes and an MP3 file each week.

Worksheets.

Quizzes.

Reminder emails from Hitomi EVERY DAY!

★Optional:

Practice writing Hiragana and Katakana on a paper, scan it and email it to me. You will receive a feedback.

Practice reading Hiragana and Katakana, record your voice and email it to me. You will receive a feedback.

I guarantee you will master Basic Hiragana and Katakana in 10 weeks!

Due to the nature of this program (personal interaction required), I can only accept a certain number of people.

If you would like to participate in this program or have any questions, send an email to hitomi@japancast.net

I am looking forward to studying with you!

You are invited to Japancast 10 Minutes A Day Club!

As many of you already know, I am learning Spanish.
It is not easy and yes, I have slacked off so many times in the past few years.
Then, the other day, I have decided to dedicate 10 minutes a day to study Spanish.
I use the word “study”, but it could be anything.  Listening to Spanish songs, watching Spanish TV, reading blogs that are written in Spanish, etc…Any activities that involve Spanish language will do.
My previous goal of studying Spanish for 1 hour every day was not easy for me.  I was able to come up with a bunch of excuses for not doing it, but now 10 minutes a day?  Well, I think I can spare 10 minutes a day!

So I have been doing this 10 minutes a day thing for the past few weeks and have been having a lot of fun.   If you are interested in doing this with me (in your case, learning Japanese),
please write down these 3 things each day and post them on our Facebook page.  http://www.facebook.com/Japancast  The more the merrier!

1. How long you did the activity (Of course, you can spend more than 10 minutes if you like.)

2. What activity

3. What you learned

Example:

1. 8:20pm – 8:34pm (or 14 minutes in the evening)

2. I listened to a J-pop song.
I went through 20 Kanji flash cards.

3. I learned 4 new words from the J-pop song.
希望(きぼう)、夢(ゆめ)、輝く(かがやく)、飛び立つ(とびたつ)

Take one day at a time and enjoy the journey!

Yes, Katakana is everywhere!  Yet many people think Katakana words are hard to read.

Sure, some characters look very similar, but main problem is that  simply,  you are not used to read Katakana words.

That’s right.  Not enough reading.  That means if you are provided a good reading lesson, you should be able to improve your reading skills.

This lesson is a PURE Katakana Reading Lesson, focuses on only READING Katakana words.

For More details, click HERE!

Happy Learning :) :) :)

Yes, I am talking about those characters … characters like:

が、ぽ、しゃ、みゅ、ぴゅ、etc…

Sure, you can read all the basic Hiragana and Katakana without problem, but as soon as you see words like:

キャンプ、チャレンジ、しゅんかん、りょくちゃ, you have to pause for a moment.

This is because you have not mastered these characters quite yet. Don’t worry, all you need is this:

練習(れんしゅう)=“Practice”

This is a 6 week course.

You are going to learn: 104 characters.

PLUS… a BONUS Lesson of Double Consonants and Long Vowels!!!
You know those words … きって、キットカット、チャンプルー、キャンディー, etc …

You will receive:

Weekly lesson notes
Videos
Audio files
Weekly Quizzes
Daily email with instructions!

Starts: Monday, September 5
Ends: Sunday, October 16

Cost: $24.95 (Early Bird : If you register between 8/18 ~ 8/25)
$29.95 (Standard : If you register between 8/26 ~ 8/31)
$34.95 (Late : If you register between 9/1 ~ 9/4)

This course is all done by emails, so you don’t need to worry about the time differences!
If you are serious about mastering Hiragana and Katakana, join me :) :) :)
