Rajini Kanth is fairly famous in India especially southern India. Most Indian films are made up north in Hindi as opposed to Rajini is from south and speaks Tamil. I have watched 2 of his movies when I was in Japan. AWESOME! Indian movies are very different from Western or Japanese ones. I love their music and dance!
